FAQ
Editions and Sizing
What Is A Limited Edition?
Each photograph has a limited number of editions available in each size. You can find the edition sizes listed in the description of each photograph. If you have questions about the number of editions remaining, feel free to contact us. We are happy to help.
The prices for the photographs may vary depending on the photograph size and the number of editions remaining. As the editions sell and fewer remain, the price may increase.
Are Some Photographs Open Editions?
To make some photographs continuously available at an accessible price point, Greg has released some of the photographs as numbered photographs without a set limit on the edition size. As with the limited editions, these photographs are hand numbered and signed by Greg.
What Are The Sizes?
You can find the dimensions for each of the sizes available under the pricing information on the photograph’s page in the online shop. Keep in mind that the dimensions listed are just the image size and don’t include the white border where Greg titles and signs the photograph. Many photographs are not standard sizes, so be sure to measure your frames/wall space twice. Please see Print Details and Options for more information about sizing.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you'd like to order an image in a smaller, larger, or custom size or a different ratio. We're happy to check if that photo can be resized and/or cropped to fit your desires and provide pricing.
Printing
Who Prints The Photographs I Ordered?
All prints ordered are personally printed and inspected by Greg Nicolai to ensure the utmost quality and consistency.
What Kind Of Paper Are The Photographs Printed On?
All photographs are personally printed by Greg. Most are printed on 13.8 mil, 300 gsm, archival, and fine art grade paper with a lightly textured semigloss surface. The paper base stock is acid-free, lignin free, and buffered with calcium carbonate with a life expectancy of over 1,000 years (if not exposed to direct sunlight, water, or physical damage). It is FOGRA Certified ISO 9706 (paper aging standards). There are no markings or logos on the back of the paper. The paper recreates the look of wet darkroom fiber paper.
I found that a few photographs look better on photo-quality paper, but most look better on museum-grade paper. I choose whichever paper makes for a better-looking print but you may request the archival/museum-grade paper if desired.
Shipping and Delivery
Safe Shipping For Photographs
To decrease potential damage to the photograph during shipping and handling, the photograph is rolled into a protective packing tube for safe transport. All photographs are guaranteed for safe delivery. If your photograph arrives damaged, please send us photos of the damage, and we will replace it.
What Is The Typical Turn-Around Time?
To allow Greg plenty of shooting time, we schedule a limited number of printing and shipping days to once each week but most orders will ship within 7 days after receiving payment. Please contact us for the upcoming shipping date. Should you need your photograph sooner, please contact us for a quote for expedited printing options.
